The Victoria Cool Aid Society has been building homes, lives and community in the Capital Region since 1968, through a wide range of programs including supportive housing, community health and dental services, emergency shelter, mental health and employment services, and the Downtown Community Centre. I’ve had a couple bikes insured with Megson FitzPatrick and each time I’ve had to call their support centre; either for an insurance transfer, or simply to purchase or end insurance, they have been quick, simple and very friendly. Their staff know what they are talking about and they offer solid motorcycle insurance for the year at very good/competitive rates.

Megson FitzPatrick at Shelbourne is the best Insurance agent around. Super friendly and helpful staff. The car ownership transfer is done in no time. I tried ICBC at Hillside the day before but they have too many reasons not to provide a service (like “appointment only” and they were very close to store closing so they said that “will not have enough time for that”.

Dear sir/madam, I was recently at your office needing auto insurance updating and I had the pleasure of being served by Mr. Michael Chaves. Having recently lost my Spouse of several years to a traumatic massive stroke, I was needing name changes on our automobile ownership, a new policy solely under my name and new licence plates. As you may imagine, this was a very difficult appointment for me. Unfortunately, I brought some of the wrong papers for the work to be done. Mr. Chaves didn’t give up on me, and found the papers I needed in my file, processed them and made everything right for me. I am also very hard of hearing and again Mr. Chaves was patient even to the point of writing the needed requests for me to understand the process if necessary. He also offered to help me change my licence plates. With such superlative service, I wanted to give Mr Chaves a cash token of my appreciation. He graciously declined and kindly told me he felt honoured to have helped me and expressed sorrow for my loss. Mr. Chaves is a wonderful credit to your company. Having our house insurance with your company as well, there has only been the best service I can imagine from your employees over the years. Jackie Brown went above and beyond with my recent provincial import of a 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser. She was friendly, personable, and professional. Jackie explained the process very well and was patient and helpful with me through the course of my 4 phone calls regarding the transaction. I wanted to take the time (which is precious as I am extremely busy) to say I was so impressed by the service I received from my new account manager Martha Mena in your Victoria Branch – for our home insurance renewal. While I have been with MF for some time and receive decent service in the past, Martha was exceptional. As someone who manages staff, I found she has that customer service quality that is hard to find today. Martha is engaged, informative, professional and very personable. I am writing this as I hope this would go into her HR file and be part of any future performance review or performance feedback as this type of service needs to be recognized. My last stop after a long day of work today was to pick up my new license plates at Megson Fitzpatrick. It ended up being the highlight of my day. Natalie Willock was kind and professional when she greeted me. She was so organized and made the logistics of covid precautions feel easy breezy. I can’t remember the name of the woman who helped me with my car insurance and I can’t recognize her on any pictures on your website, but she was the absolute best. She was efficient, knowledgeable and went above and beyond. She was thorough in explaining all of the changes to my insurance charges and we celebrated that I was now paying Island prices instead of Vancouver prices! I was excited to pick up my new colourful plates with the little bear on them and she emphatically shared in the excitement with me. We even did a brief Wikipedia search about the Kermode bears. She helped me pick out tools to replace my plates and provided zip-ties when my car’s hardware was too old to reuse. She was honestly just so pleasant and she deserves to be recognized for the wonderful person and employee that she is. If there is any way to find out who she was through my information, here it is: I was insuring a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder with new plates PF787A and I had my walk-in appointment at 3:30 on April 14, 2021. I think her desk was the second one in to the left. If that helps identify the perfect unicorn that provided my insurance, please give her a big thumbs up. Who knew a quick stopover to pick up car insurance could be so fun? Your team is respectful, professional, and an absolute delight. Your hiring manager probably also deserves a pat on the back for hiring such great people.

I came in today with what I thought was a simple insurance purchase, however, it quickly turned into quite the ordeal because I came from out of province and have a leased vehicle. The lady that helped me, I believe her name was Vicki, she was sitting at the first desk on the left. She was absolutely wonderful and handled everything smoothly. I was in this morning re autoplan renewal. Jacklyn helped me out today and the last couple of times I have come in. Jacklyn is very knowledgeable and pleasant. I used to be all BCAA however am now transitioning to MF. One of the main reasons for this is your customer service. Fantastic! I will also add that your online appointment system is very convenient.
I had a very nice, and very unusual experience last week. Out of the blue, someone named Samantha Rankin who works for Megson Fitzpatrick reached out and asked if I knew that my good credit score could help me get lower rates on my insurance. I. WAS. FLOORED. My most common experience in getting better rates normally involves threatening my mobile provider/internet provider that I’m moving my business. Then they miraculously find me a better rate with more features. It always comes down to thinly veiled threats. I can’t tell you how nice it was to have Ms. Rankin tell me I could get lower rates, and that she would handle all the work. This is how great brands are built. Give her a raise!
I had two appointments with your staff. One was over the phone to renew our vehicle insurance and the other was in-person to transfer a travel trailer into our name and insure it. Both staff were absolutely lovely to deal with, the length of the appointments were great and any questions or concerns I had were answered. Very good experience!!

The multiple Megson Fitzpatrick locations across the city make obtaining insurance easy. But my preference for the company goes beyond that simple convenience.
